Queen Cleopatra has flopped on Netflix and the Rotten Tomatoes speaks volumes.
It has received a one per cent audience score on the film rating site.
Is it due to poor production, acting and script or is it something to do with the ongoing ‘blackwashing’ row?

The documentary, which is part of the African Queens series, is an exploration of the rise and fall of the last pharaoh of Egypt and was released on May 10.
Black actress was cast in the lead role, Adele James, 37, despite historical records showing she was Macedonian-Greek.
The Egyptian government had accused Netflix of misrepresenting Cleopatra, claims Insider.
An Egyptian lawyer had also filed a case to shut down the streaming service in Egypt, reports NME.
Blackwashing?

Joshua Reid tweeted: “So Netflix is doing the new show with Cleopatra as a black woman.. Taking that same trend… Here is an idea for the new fall series called “Adolf””
While Kenny Akers tweeted: “I started watching; Queen Cleopatra on Netflix last night. It’s already raising controversy similar to the little mermaid drama. “They” really hate when we step into influential roles.”

Worst ever?
Forbes reports that after four days on Rotten Tomatoes, Queen Cleopatra has been given just a one per cent audience rating- reportedly the worst ever documented.
The publication said: ‘Fans usually rate things higher than critics, even bad shows, and the point being, a 1 per cent audience score seems borderline mathematically impossible, even with the controversy the film has attracted.’
