In a recent financial statement covering the entirety of 2023, Remedy disclosed significant progress on the Max Payne remakes. The company reported that the project had continued to advance during the year, remaining in the production readiness stage. Notably, Remedy revealed that the Max Payne 1&2 remake would be fully funded by Rockstar Games, sharing a development budget similar to that of Alan Wake 2.

The budget for Alan Wake 2, estimated at €70 million, underscores the substantial investment in the Max Payne Remake, positioning it as a major new game with significant potential.
