The 67th Eurovision Song Contest takes place on 9, 11 and 13 May 2023 and will be held in Liverpool. It is going to be a Eurovision Brexit by the looks of it.

EU flags will be handed out to audience members at this weekend’s final, by activists staging an anti-Brexit protest.

Maybe the police will arrest them like the anti-monarchy protestors at last week’s coronation?

Eurovision anti-Brexit

The Liverpool for Europe group have got 75,000 EU flags for the final and they hope these will be flown throughout the event.

As Liverpool is a left-leaning anti-Brexit city, at a music event for Europe, it is likely to go down well.

Liverpool are hosting the event on behalf of Ukraine, which won the event last year amid Russian President Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion of the country.

Strikes

However, rail passengers in England are now braced for more disruption as train drivers begin another series of strikes on Frida. It will effect travelling to this weekend’s Eurovision final.

Also, drivers and other staff from the Aslef union will also strike over pay on May 31 and June 3, the day of the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Where can I watch it and running order?

It will be shown on the BBC. Millions of people in the UK and across the globe expected to tune in for the hugely popular event.

Countries that will not make an appearance on the Saturday include North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Montenegro, as well as Russia for a second year running.

However, here is the running order!
