Liz Truss has popped over to Taiwan to put her nose in where it is not wanted. You have to wonder where it is wanted to be fair.

It has been labelled a “dangerous political stunt” by the Chinese embassy in London.

The statement on the embassy website added: “We urge the relevant British politician to correct her wrongdoing, stop making political shows with the Taiwan question and stop conniving at and supporting ‘Taiwan independence’ secessionist forces.”

The failed PM is to call on Rishi Sunak to declare Beijing a “threat” to UK security.

Liz Truss is the most senior British politician to visit the country since….you guessed it, her idol…Margaret Thatcher!

Liz Truss Taiwan

When you fail as a PM, what next? Start World War Three? Just sit on the backbenches in shame please, for the the sake of humankind!

Ms Truss is a “washed-out, second-rate politician”, Li Guanjie, a research fellow at the Shanghai International Studies University, is quoted as saying in the Global Times.

Kay Burley was wondering why she was doing it…

#KayBurley – The shortest serving PM ever, Liz Truss, is causing trouble for the govt in Taiwan.. what's she up to?

Richard Holden(Transport Minister) – She's a backbencher… she can say what she likes

Taiwan speech

Taiwan and China split in 1949 following a civil war that ended with the Communist party in control of the mainland, and China does not recognise the country.

So during her speech Truss said.

Chinese global dominance” is a bigger issue than climate change – Nice one for the 55 Tufton street climate deniers.

Risk of another Cold War – yeh you’re adding fule to the fire Liz

China’s Communist Party is “engaging in [an] ideological struggle” with “the free world” – We gave them capitalism to fight communism and they kept them both!

“Fatalism” is the biggest danger to Taiwan’s future – Liz I doubt you will defend the island IF the Chinese invade.

She called for ‘economic Nato’ to challenge China – The EU was a decent vehicle for that…
