Nadine Dorries has been fairly off the radar recently. We almost missed her bizarre and sometimes unhinged take on the world…almost.

Anyway, she appeared on Laura Kuenssberg’s politics show, to discuss the power of men in the media industry due to the Philip Schofield scandal.

Nadine replied and widened the power of men in all types of industry.

She told Laura that: “There are men who have positions of authority & power, kind of think they’re above the law… that the rest of us are held by.”

#bbclaurak: Do you think presenters, like Phillip Schofield, just have too much power in the industry?

Nadine Dorries: so stupid she doesn’t even understand how one part of her own statement contradicts the other part. But still happy to peddle her outrage, regardless of how ridiculous she sounds.

Scholfield

Eamonn Holmes has claimed there was a “total cover-up” over Phillip Schofield’s affair with a younger male colleague on This Morning while he was married.

Holmes, 63, who also presented on the show, has accused Schofield of “toxicity” amid the furore over the culture on the ITV daytime programme.

Speaking to Dan Wootton on GB News on Monday, 63-year-old Holmes said: “This nonsense that he wrote today about toxicity, about how [This Morning] is a happy place or whatever, holy God, what planet does this man live on?

“He created an atmosphere where people hated him.

“People would avoid him in the corridor. He didn’t look at anybody, didn’t know anybody’s name.”

In a story on Instagram on Monday morning, Phillip Schofield said: “Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this. I hope you have noticed that it’s the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.

“This Morning IS the best show to work on, with the best people. In all the years I worked there there was no toxicity. You can listen to those persistently loud voices if you like.

“But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it IS a family of wonderful, talented, kind and hardworking people.”
