This Bush and Blair tweet is making Twitter look like it’s falling apart

Twitter Blue provides a verification tick to subscribers, and it's not going well, with many spoof accounts being verified.

Twitter Blue, a new subscription service, is now operational in the UK. It offers users of the social media platform the option to purchase a blue verification badge for the first time.

Now that they may sign up and pay for the service, Twitter users on Apple’s iOS will see a blue checkmark next to their user name. In due course, the business promised, the service would be made available to customers on Android and the web version of the app.

It isn’t going smoothly however, with many parody accounts being verified, as the tweets below will show:

The George Bush parody account has now been suspended, however, the parody of Tony Blair is still live.
