Tax, do you like paying them? Most people don’t or they might feel. better about it if they saw thing improve.

The UK doesn’t seem to be in great shape, so why do we bother paying tax?

UK tax

Labour is considering moves to levy higher taxes on foreign buyers of UK homes, as a senior Conservative blamed their party’s abolition of housebuilding targets for woeful results in last week’s local elections.

A few weeks ago Jeremy Hunt admitted that British corporate taxes were too high.

He also froze the income tax personal allowance at £12,570 until April 2028. Basic rate payers do not have to pay any on income below this level.

Hunt also frozen the point (threshold) at which people start paying higher tax rates.

It means that as wages rise, people will pay tax on a larger proportion of their earnings, and more people will move into higher brackets.

For most families in the UK, income tax is the single biggest tax they pay.

However, poorer households tend to pay a bigger share of their taxes through taxes on spending: VAT and duties . Those are known as indirect taxes.

And what about public services ‘It’s crazy out there’: Closure of youth clubs across UK ‘pushing children to violence’ reports Sky News.

Every young person will have access to regular clubs and activities by 2025, a government spokesperson told Sky News, amid criticism about the number of centres which have closed over the past decade.

You tell me. The Tories ( your party) are responsible for taxation and have been for the last 13 years. Oh, I forgot, most of the cash has been siphoned off to Tory donors. #ToryWipeout #ToriesOut304 #GeneralElectionNow
