Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch faced a eyebrow-raising moment when a presenter pointed out that Labour sees Reform UK as the real opposition. Instead of taking aim at Labour, she said something entirely different:
“It’s nonsense… Reform is another left-wing party.”
Cue gasps and snorts.
🔍 What led to this moment?
Badenoch has kicked off a review into whether the UK should quit the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). She warned the law is “weak, or just a mess,” claiming the UK now “protects criminals and rewards victims.” Her solution? End all asylum claims from illegal immigrants.
Then came the zinger. Asked to respond to Labour’s view of Reform as the main threat, she didn’t mince words. She simply said Reform is no right-wing rival but “another left-wing party.”
