The PM Rishi Sunak and various members of the government have been sent out in front of the cameras to claim that giving public sector workers a pay rise will hit each UK family to the tune of £1,000 a year in tax.

Their argument come as the governor of the Bank of England has told MPs that its forecasts for inflation to more than halve this year are at risk from price and wage-setting as unions continue to demand large public sector settlements.

Economically illiterate

But lawyer Peter Stefanovic has slammed the claims in a new viral video.

Peter shared the video and wrote: “The Prime Minister is shamelessly sending out members of his Government to tell the public union demands for a proper pay rise for public sector workers will cost every household an extra 1,000 a year in tax It’s economically illiterate, completely untrue & absolute boll****”

It is time that we had stronger legalisation to punish those MPs who not only deliberately mislead Parliament, but also deliberately mislead the British public. Depending on the inherent honesty and ethics of those elected to govern us is no longer a safeguard.
