Nadine Dorries has been quiet lately, oh that’s right she hasn’t.

Yesterday she said Tory MPs must “bring back Boris Johnson or die”,  she warned.

The former culture secretary said her party was “heading into the long, cold and brutal wasteland of thankless opposition” under new leader Rishi Sunak.

Now she picked a fight with someone online and that has backfired, as it inevitably does with her.

A man called Bob Roberts tweeted: Starmer surely can’t do any more to ensure there will never be another Conservative government than Johnson, Truss and Sunak have already done.”

It seems Nadine didn’t like this comment and wrote: “I don’t agree. But, maybe go and discuss with your 15 followers.”

This then led to a rush of new followers, he was on 3,000 by this morning. But it has spiralled since.

Hi ⁦@NadineDorries⁩. You dismissed me this morning as I only had 15 followers. I’ve got over 3000 now (thanks btw x). So NOW can we talk about it? pic.twitter.com/K8JwP6Ldej

I'm no maths wiz (if only Sunak had been PM when I was a kid) but I reckon my followers increase from 15 to 15,000 is a rise of 100,000%. Thanks, Nadine xx pic.twitter.com/dydAvGwRwl

He now has 17,000 followers and rising!

Roberts has since tweeted: “I’m no maths wiz (if only Sunak had been PM when I was a kid) but I reckon my followers increase from 15 to 15,000 is a rise of 100,000%. Thanks, Nadine xx.”

Mike Galsworthy was keeping a close eye on the enfolding row and tweeted: “This has been beautiful to watch Bob. Well played.”
