Legendary pop star Rod Stewart called up Sky News and made an unexpected admission this afternoon, about the NHS and his voting intentions.

It comes as the Times reports that Universities have been told they must limit the number of medical school places this year or risk fines, a move attacked as “extraordinary” when the NHS is struggling with staff shortages.

Medical schools have been told to curtail offers to ensure that there is “no risk” of them accepting more would-be doctors than permitted by a government cap, with universities saying they are likely to offer fewer places than normal to sixth-formers this year.

Richard Murphy tweeted the story and wrote: “Amazing: when we are short of doctors the government is capping the number who can be trained. It’s as if they want an NHS crisis and to ration healthcare.”

Rod Stewart

Back to Rod Stewart. He rang into @SkyNews to say: “I personally have been a Tory for a long time but I think this government should stand down now and give the Labour Party a go at it.”

⭐ Unexpected star twist to the live NHS phone-in on Sky News right now.

Sir Rod Stewart has dialled in 🤯 He says stories are "devastating" and the govt should "stand aside" to give Labour a chance. Also offers to pay for cancer scans for other viewers who need them.

5.

Rod Stewart is far from alone. In recent canvassing I have spoken to plenty of life time Tories who are sickened and have just had enough.
Tory party lost EU facing people years ago, now they’re losing anyone with a conscience.
They’re toast.
