Tommy Robinson’s kids get fundraising page after dad’s courtroom drama

A fundraising campaign has been set up to raise £100,000 for the children of far-right activist Tommy Robinson, following his recent imprisonment.

Robinson, legally named Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, received an 18-month prison sentence after admitting to contempt of court by making false claims against a Syrian refugee. He acknowledged 10 breaches of a High Court order from 2021 in a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court.

Background to the Fundraiser

Before his trial, Robinson managed to raise nearly £90,000 in donations, claiming it was to ‘prove his innocence’. Now, Rebel Media has launched a new crowdfunding page aiming to support his children during his prison term by creating a trust fund.

The crowdfunding page highlights, “Imagine how hard it must be having Tommy Robinson as your dad. Now, with Tommy sentenced to a lengthy prison term, his kids don’t have a dad at all.”

Fundraiser Goals and Support

The campaign describes Robinson as a “political prisoner” and implies concerns for his safety in prison, even suggesting the government “would like” to see him harmed. As of now, nearly £18,000 has been raised, amounting to roughly £6,000 per child.
