A new behind-the-scenes video from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 shows Jim Carrey shaving his head for his character’s dramatic transformation into Dr. Robotnik.

Dr. Robotnik’s Return

At the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Dr. Robotnik seemed to meet his doom after falling from his robot. However, a post-credits scene revealed that Agent Stone survived. Now, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 confirms that Dr. Robotnik is back, and he may even become an ally to Sonic and his friends.

Jim Carrey’s Big Transformation

In the latest video, Carrey’s co-star Lee Majdoub, who plays Agent Stone, is shown shaving Carrey’s head for the upcoming makeover scene. Majdoub spoke about how honoured he was to be trusted with such an important task. Carrey shared that he had kept his hair for over a year and a half, showing his dedication to the role. Fans can watch the full behind-the-scenes video below to see Carrey’s transformation in action.
