Star Wars Outlaws has received a major update with Title Update 1.4.0, bringing significant changes to stealth mechanics, AI improvements, and more. The patch focuses on enhancing gameplay by cutting stealth requirements, improving combat, and offering greater player choice.

Key Updates in Title Update 1.4.0

The new update removes forced stealth objectives across the game, allowing players to progress without worrying about “do not raise the alarm” or “do not get caught” missions. Now, players can enjoy more freedom without having to return to previous checkpoints when stealth is broken.

The patch also introduces several gameplay enhancements. These include improvements to enemy AI, better facial animations, and improved weapon mechanics. The update aims to provide a more refined and enjoyable experience, with visual options allowing sharper graphics, especially for distant objects.

Notable Gameplay Changes

  • Stealth and Combat Enhancements: The update offers greater flexibility, allowing players to choose their approach to combat and stealth situations.
  • AI and Enemy Behaviour: AI opponents have improved tactical decision-making, leading to more dynamic combat encounters. Additionally, enemy detection has been enhanced for a more realistic challenge.
  • Weapon and Damage Adjustments: The update refines weapon aiming, recoil, and spread, making shooting more precise. Increased headshot damage and better blaster module functionality also improve combat satisfaction.

Performance Improvements

  • Character and Environmental Enhancements: Facial animations in dialogue scenes have been improved, and visual effects for flora and waterfalls have been fixed. Additionally, the distance at which lights are visible in the game world has been increased.
  • UI and Accessibility: Several new features have been added, including a custom controller preset and a stronger aim assist option. The update also introduces faster menu narration and clearer descriptions of accessibility settings.

Ongoing Support for PC Players

Although the update does not address specific issues faced by some PC players using Windows 11 24H2, Ubisoft has stated that they are working on a permanent fix.
